Acker Wines Fine & Rare Wine Tastings a Success

Acker Wines Fine & Rare Wine Tastings a Success

Less than a year ago, Acker Wines started a new, groundbreaking series of fine & rare wine tasting events that provide a wide variety of options to taste wines that are not typically opened at events for the public. The events are orchestrated by Acker’s expert staff and offer everything in between value wines to some of the greatest wines in the world. If you want to learn more about your favorite wines, our in-store tastings are the place to be.

Each Tasting Focuses on Different Theme and Region

Oenophiles and novices appreciate the experience of tasting some of the best wines on the globe and learning about the different regions where the wine is produced. At one tasting, guests enjoyed a handpicked selection of $200 plus bottles, such as the 1999 Sassicaia.

At another tasting, guests were wowed by a 1985 horizontal tasting featuring Cos d’Estournel, Leoville Barton & Beychevelle Bordeaux. And it should be noted that Acker pours until the bottles are empty.

Each tasting is offered six days a week and features a theme and a specific region. Current themes include Blind Monday, Teaching Tuesdays, WOW Wine Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, Frenzy Fridays, Super Saturdays.

Guests in August will learn about orange wine, Spanish wines, low vs. high acid wines, the origins of Zinfandel, ‘Green Fairy’ absinthe, aromatic white wines, and more. The line up for September is just as diverse and interesting.
